Not strictly a Cloudship Press publication, but… made by Tessa while on residence at BEMA, a new arts and cultural space in Querétaro (Mexico), as a guest of Marjetica Potrč’s ‘Design for the Living World’ Masters program in Social Design ‘Design for the Living World’ (HfBK, Hamburg).

It’s an artist book in three parts, each being a fold-out street in the slowly gentrifying San Francisquito neighbourhood around BEMA. Alongside the drawings of street facades are stories (in English & Spanish) of people who live in these houses and use them (and indeed the streets), as semi-public sites of work or collectivity. Many have spent most of their lives here, and know and support each other in different ways.

The book was riso-printed with the help of Aazufre at ATEA studios (Mexico City) in an edition of 24, and cut and folded by hand. One copy was given to each resident whose story appears in the book.. so there are not many in circulation!

A couple still remaining, please contact for details.
